Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Resident Care & Assessment: Work closely with supervising physicians to assess and monitor resident needs, provide exceptional bedside care, and exhibit strong clinical skills.

• Medical Documentation: Record and track a resident’s medical history, symptoms, and vital signs, updating resident charts and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately.

• Treatment & Medications: Administer medications and carry out doctor-recommended treatment plans.

• Compliance & Collaboration: Comply fully with federal, state, and local nursing regulations, standards, and facility policies while collaborating seamlessly with fellow nurses, doctors, and administrators.

Education, Licensing & Requirements

• Education: Possess an Associate (AS) or Bachelor (BS) degree in nursing (new graduates welcome!).

• Licensure: Must be currently registered and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.

• CPR Certification: Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation, and maintain current certification throughout employment.

• Contingencies: All job offers are contingent upon receiving excellent professional references and passing the Maine State Background Check.

Skills & Abilities

• Technical Literacy: Knowledge and practical use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or solid general computer skills.

• Communication: Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearly.

• Leadership Drive: Effective leadership skills and/or a strong readiness to invest in growing these crucial skills within our supportive clinical team.
