The Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
This role requires strong clinical skills, patient assessment abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 1–2+ years of RN experience in Med Surg
• Active Illinois RN License (Required prior to start)
• BLS Certification (AHA – Required)
• Strong experience in patient assessment and care planning
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in acute care hospital settings
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
• Medical-Surgical Unit (4 East)
• Onsite role in Mattoon, IL
• Fast-paced, patient-focused clinical setting
Additional Requirements
• Must be flexible with night shifts and scheduling needs
• Ability to manage multiple patients and varying acuity levels
• Must comply with all hospital and regulatory standards
