Local: $55.00 - $59.00/hour
Traveler: $60.00 - $63.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care while monitoring telemetry patients and responding to changes in clinical condition.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry RN experience in a major acute-care hospital
• Strong Med/Surg/Telemetry clinical background
• ASN required
• Active NJ RN or Compact RN license
• BLS certification
• AHA ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Telemetry certification/experience
• 4-hour Contact Stroke CEU
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a Med/Surg/Telemetry setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans
• Monitor telemetry and recognize cardiac rhythm changes
• Provide nursing interventions based on patient acuity
• Administer medications and treatments
• Document patient care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide patient-centered care
• Support evidence-based nursing and quality improvement
• Maintain infection-control and patient-safety standards
