As a Medical Step Down RN, youll play a vital role in caring for patients transitioning from critical care or managing complex medical needs. Your role ensures seamless, compassionate, and high-quality patient-centered care while promoting collaboration across the healthcare team.
Youll be part of a multidisciplinary team that values clinical excellence, empathy, and teamwork providing an environment where both patients and staff can thrive.
Perform comprehensive, age-specific patient assessments on admission and throughout care.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
Administer medications and treatments safely, documenting all care accurately in EPIC, the electronic medical record system.
Revise care plans as patient conditions change to ensure optimal outcomes.
Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and teamwork to deliver exceptional service and quality care.
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing (eligible to sit for the VA RN licensure exam).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in Virginia or eligibility to obtain.
CPR certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP obtained as needed.
Proficiency in EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
Successful completion of orientation and competency requirements.
Salary Range: $30.47 $45.71/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Day Shift | Every Other Weekend | Rotating Holidays
Sign-On Bonus:
Up to $30,000 for Experienced RNs
Up to $20,000 for New Graduate RNs (must meet eligibility criteria)
