Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical / Surgical (Surgery Trauma). This is a 02+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested. Job ID:26-15285 Pay Range: $45 - $50/hour. Key Responsibilities: Manage a patient assignment of 5:1 ratio on a high acuity trauma surgical floor. Perform comprehensive assessments and prioritize care for patients with traumatic injuries, post operative needs, and complex neurological conditions. Administer medications, wound care, IV therapy, and pain management as ordered. Monitor for complications such as infection, DVT, pressure injuries, and respiratory compromise. Collaborate with physical/occupational therapy, case management, and social work to coordinate discharge planning. Receive complete nurse to nurse handoff from ED nurses and admitting unit staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR. Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition; initiate appropriate interventions and escalate as needed. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Must have skills: - Registered Nurse, RN, Medical Surgical, Med Surg, Trauma, BLS, EPIC Active RN License (GA or Compact State) AHA BLS certification (required) ACLS certification (preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg, trauma, or surgical specialty Proficiency with EPIC EMR system (required) Ability to work day shifts (schedule varies), 36 guaranteed hours per week No requested time off (RTO) Must be willing to work given shifts – no block schedules Both local and travel candidates considered (no radius restriction) Experience with highacuity populations: spinal cord injury, neuro trauma, gunshot wounds, quads, paraplegics Strong critical thinking and rapid prioritization in a highacuity setting Excellent wound care, pain management, and neuro assessment skills Ability to deescalate and manage complex psychosocial needs Strong communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff Compassionate, resilient, and patientfirst mindset Our client is a leading Healthcare Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
