Responsibilities Registered Nurse (RN)- Full time- Night shift Mercy hospital is seeking an experienced behavioral health nurse to join the team in Ada, OK. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for psychiatric patients. Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions. Provide patient and family education to support understanding of treatment plans and recovery goals. Promote safety by implementing de-escalation strategies, crisis intervention, and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Qualifications Qualifications: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Active RN license Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses) - OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) - S.T.A.B.L.E.
