Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Observation
Schedule:
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Holiday, On Call as needed
Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant field
- Current license by the state nursing board
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and conditions continuously
- Administer medications and provide basic nursing care as per physician orders
- Assist patients with daily living activities and comfort measures
- Document patient observations, interventions, and communications accurately
- Respond to changes in patient conditions and provide necessary emergency care
- Adhere to infection control and safety policies
Compliance / Notes:
- On-call responsibilities as per unit needs
- Must maintain proper hygiene and sanitation practices in patient care environments
