Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a busy specialty oncology clinic in Plano, TX. Under general supervision, the RN provides professional, compassionate nursing care while adhering to national, company, and specialty-specific standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong infusion experience, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The RN will work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, educate patients and families, and support efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of patient care.
• Assess patient health status, current condition, and medical history.
• Provide safe and effective infusion therapy and monitor patients throughout treatment.
• Assess patients before, during, and after infusions and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and ongoing care.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and coordinate patient care.
• Manage medication refill requests and accurately document information in patient charts.
• Schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests, procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
• Triage patient phone calls and document relevant clinical information.
• Coordinate communication between patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist patients in locating appropriate community resources.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical resource to LPN/LVNs and Medical Assistants.
• Follow all applicable safety, infection control, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience.
• Infusion experience is required.
• Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience administering and monitoring IV therapies in an outpatient or specialty clinic setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to maintain required continuing education and professional certifications.
