A Registered Nurse specializing in Open Heart (CVOR) is needed in Kissimmee, FL at a 404-bed tertiary care, Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital that includes a Heart & Vascular Institute and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

The role. The CVOR RN provides specialized perioperative nursing care for open heart surgical patients in an acute care setting. Core responsibilities center on scrubbing and circulating for open heart and cardiovascular procedures, monitoring patient status throughout the surgical episode, and coordinating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient case management. The nurse also manages instrument and equipment readiness, responds to emergent intraoperative changes, and participates in on-call coverage approximately once per week and one weekend per month, with flexibility based on departmental need.

What we're looking for.

  • 1 year of Open Heart (CVOR) RN experience in an Acute Care environment required
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
  • BSN preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare provider) required
  • CNOR preferred

Schedule. Days, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., with on-call coverage approximately once per week and one weekend per month, subject to change based on departmental need.

Compensation. $31.84 - $46.26/hr
