Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (Days) – Lutz, FL

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Operating Room team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality perioperative care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on clinical excellence and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards

• Deliver care to a sub-specialty patient population throughout the perioperative experience

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective surgical care

• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to members of the healthcare team

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

• Promote patient safety and adherence to evidence-based clinical practices

• Serve as a preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

• Demonstrate professional accountability and participate in ongoing professional development activities

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience required

• At least one year of Operating Room RN experience preferred

• ACLS certification required if applicable to the department

• Nursing specialty certification preferred

• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
