Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Rochester, New York 14642 (Strong Memorial Hospital)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (05/25/2026 – 08/22/2026)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Shift Time: D/E/N Rotating Shift (Day/Evening/Night)
Compensation: $2,300 – $2,540/week (Estimated Gross)

Position Summary & Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center servicing a wide variety of surgical specialties.

• Specialties include Orthopedics, General Surgery, Plastics, Urology, Cardiac, Neuro, Vascular, Ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, Thoracic, and Oral-maxillofacial.

• Support the hospital's prestigious Transplant Program (Livers, Kidneys, and Hearts).

• Utilize and assist with 2 Davinci Robots used across multi-service lines.

• Maintain flexibility for call/callback, floating, and working holidays/weekends based on unit needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ASN or BSN).

• Licensure: Current and active New York State (NYS) RN License is mandatory (no exceptions).

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience.

  • Preferred: Experience in a Level 1 Trauma center.

• Specialized Skills:Must be able to both scrub and circulate.

• Technical: Experience with Telemetry is required.

• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association/AHA ONLY).

  • Preferred:ACLS.
