Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Certifications Requirements: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital-based nursing experience; prior surgical or perioperative experience preferred
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work multiple shifts, strong electronic documentation skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments to ensure surgical readiness and recovery needs are met.
  • Assist in preparing the operating room by ensuring all necessary sterile equipment and supplies are available and properly arranged.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during surgical procedures, providing timely interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with surgical team members, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to execute surgical plans and ensure patient safety.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately in electronic health records, maintaining compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
