The Level 1 Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Dialysis unit provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments. This full-time role supports patient monitoring, treatment delivery, education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to outpatient dialysis patients following established clinical protocols
Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments, including vital signs and patient response
Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatments as ordered
Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, care plans, and self-management
Accurately document care and patient progress in the electronic medical record
Identify and report changes in patient condition promptly
Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
Collaborate effectively with physicians, dialysis technicians, and healthcare team members

Compensation

$44–$48/hour (based on experience)

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred (dialysis experience a plus, not required)
BLS required
Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a high-volume outpatient dialysis environment
