Location: Klawock, AK
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:00 PM | Saturday 7:00 AM-10:00 AM | Sundays Off
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $25,000
Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 for qualified candidates
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide medication and nursing services within an Outpatient Treatment Program. This role partners with providers, clinic staff, and leadership to deliver high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with clinical, medication management, and documentation standards.
The RN will perform patient assessments, administer medications, coordinate care, maintain medication inventory, support quality control processes, and provide patient education in a patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols
- Manage medication room operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Maintain medication inventory and clinic supplies
- Complete required quality control checks for point-of-care testing
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Provide patient and family education regarding medications and treatment plans
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and competency validation programs
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in outpatient nursing, behavioral health, substance use treatment, community health, primary care, or medication-assisted treatment preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
Required Certifications
