Registered Nurse (RN) PACU Part Time

Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova's Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is a Part Time (2x12 hour shifts) to cover hours from 9.00am-11.30pm with some on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.

PACU RN Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days

PACU RN Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of PreOp and PACU, ICU or ED experience
