Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Patient Account Management (PAM) team on a PRN (as-needed) basis in Woodlawn, United States. As a Unit Based Tier IV PAM RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate patient billing and seamless communication between clinical and financial departments.

Review and analyze patient accounts to ensure accurate billing and coding Collaborate with clinical staff to gather necessary documentation for billing purposes Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and facilitate reimbursement Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient account management Provide education and support to patients and families regarding billing and insurance matters Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the billing process Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies Perform other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Previous experience in patient account management or related healthcare finance role Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software Strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and insurance reimbursement processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements Flexibility to work on an as-needed (PRN) basis Experience with PRN scheduling preferred
