Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre-Admission department plays a crucial role in ensuring patients are fully prepared for their upcoming procedures or admissions at the hospital. This position involves conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' medical histories, current health conditions, and specific needs prior to their scheduled admission. The RN will collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to gather necessary documentation, clarify patient concerns, and provide education regarding the upcoming procedures and any required preparations.Key responsibilities include performing physical assessments, reviewing lab results, obtaining consent forms, and educating patients and families on post-procedure care. Additionally, the RN will be responsible for identifying potential risks, addressing patient questions, and ensuring that all necessary pre-admission requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of patient care in an acute care setting, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
