A healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Pre-Operative team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to surgical patients while supporting positive clinical outcomes and maintaining professional nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process and established clinical standards
Provide direct nursing care to pre-operative patients and ensure readiness for surgical procedures
Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and respond to changes in status
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe and effective patient care
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare team members
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and post-operative expectations
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Serve as a preceptor and charge nurse when assigned
Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to evidence-based nursing practice
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if required by the department
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of 18 months of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care or specialty setting
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
