As a Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Pre-Op Registered Nurse (RN) on a PRN basis, you will serve as the critical first step in the surgical pathway, performing comprehensive pre-operative clinical assessments, extensive anesthesia screenings, detailed medication reconciliations, and essential diagnostic treatments like EKGs and pre-op laboratory testing. Operating within our active ambulatory framework, you will prepare patients for a diverse spectrum of elective, complex, and minimally invasive procedures, including robotic orthopedic surgeries (such as total joint replacements), cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, advanced gastroenterology (GI) treatments, laparoscopic gynecological interventions, urological procedures, and general surgeries. Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
