    Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – El Paso, TX

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. This opportunity is ideal for a nursing professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting patients through critical stages of recovery.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess patient conditions and identify changes in health status

    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

    • Monitor patient responses and communicate updates to the healthcare team

    • Perform clinical procedures and interventions within scope of practice

    • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

    • Educate patients and caregivers on disease management and discharge planning

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and clinical standards

    Qualifications

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

    • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

    • Current BLS certification

    • ACLS certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe

    • Previous acute care, step-down, telemetry, or PCU experience preferred

    • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
