Assignment Details
- Full-time contract positions available
- Initial 16-week assignments with extension opportunities
- 8-hour and 12-hour shift schedules based on facility requirements
- Rotating weekend schedule required
- Placement opportunities at psychiatric and behavioral health facilities throughout North Carolina
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in inpatient psychiatric and behavioral health settings
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including physical, psychiatric, and detoxification evaluations
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response to treatment
- Assess, document, and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions
- Respond appropriately to psychiatric crises and assist with stabilization interventions
- Support patients in developing healthy coping skills and achieving treatment objectives
- Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote positive patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Active and unrestricted North Carolina Registered Nurse license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of one year of recent inpatient nursing experience
- Ability to successfully complete required background screenings, drug testing, credential verification, and competency assessments
