    Job Summary

    • Full-Time, Night shift opening: 11pm-7:30am, Every other weekend and a holiday rotation required.

    The Registered Nurse:

    • Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
    • Delivers excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
    • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
    • Promotes patients'' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    Unit Information: The Transitional Subacute Unit is a 50-bed unit that provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for residents who are medically stable but require continued skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and clinical monitoring following acute hospitalization. The unit serves individuals with a variety of diagnosis' who need additional time to regain strength, mobility, independence, and functional abilities before returning home or transitioning to a lower level of care.

    • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

    Experience

    • Must have RN experience

    Certification and Licensure

    • PA Registered Nurse License

    Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing is the only hospital in the region accredited by both the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and The Joint Commission. Our Stroke Specialty and Brain Injury Programs are also CARF-accredited.
