Job Description
A medical services organization in California is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of its established residential care programs in the Greater Los Angeles area.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday to Friday (with rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed)
Hours: 9am to 5pm
Setting: Residential care home
Responsibilities:
- Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and provide direct nursing care and clinical oversight
- Develop, implement, and update nursing and health care plans based on resident needs
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, pharmacies, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Review physician orders, manage medication-related documentation, and maintain accurate nursing records
- Supervise clinical staff, provide guidance to support staff, and support training on health-related procedures
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- Experience working with adults with mental and/or physical disabilities
- G-tube experience
Desired Skills:
- Supervisory experience
- Experience with developmental disabilities and person-centered care
- Experience managing chronic medical conditions and specialized healthcare needs
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and decision-making skills
- Experience with EMR systems and interdisciplinary care coordination
