    Registered Nurse (RN)  – San Diego, CA

     

    A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within women's health and family-centered care settings. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who are passionate about supporting patients throughout childbirth, recovery, and postpartum care while working in a collaborative healthcare environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout the care continuum

    • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans

    • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed

    • Monitor maternal and newborn well-being and respond appropriately to changes in condition

    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care

    • Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

    • Support patient safety initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices

    • Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions

    • Provide compassionate support to patients and families during significant life events

    • Adapt to varying patient care environments and staffing needs as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    • Experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or maternal-child health nursing required

    • Neonatal resuscitation certification preferred or required based on role

    • Fetal monitoring experience preferred

    • Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
