The RN promotes student health, safety, attendance, and academic success through nursing assessment, care, intervention, health education, care coordination, and emergency response. The RN practices within the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act, applicable laws, district policies, and authorized healthcare provider orders. The RN may perform nursing assessments and develop, initiate, implement, and evaluate Individualized Healthcare Plans within the RN scope of practice.
