Registered Nurse (RN)- School Nurse

Excel Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate, dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide full-time nursing coverage at a K-6 charter school in the Greece area of Rochester, NY.

This is more than a school nursing position—it's an opportunity to become an important part of a caring school community. We're looking for an RN who enjoys working with children, builds meaningful relationships, and is committed to supporting students both medically and emotionally.

Position Details

• Schedule:
  • Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Pay:Starting at $40+/hour (based on experience)
• Assignment: Full-time, long-term contract with the opportunity to remain until a permanent district nurse is hired.

What You'll Do

• Provide routine school nursing care for K-6 students.
• Assess and triage student illnesses and injuries.
• Respond to student health concerns and emergencies.
• Support students with social-emotional needs while creating a safe, welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate health records and medication documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Pediatric, school nursing, emergency, or community health experience is a plus.
• Excellent assessment and communication skills.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Someone looking for a stable, long-term assignment who wants to become part of the school community.
