Excel Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking a confident, organized and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a school nursing position at a small charter school in Greece, NY.

This is a unique opportunity for an RN who is a self-starter and enjoys having ownership of their work environment.

The clinical needs of the school are relatively light. The position is primarily focused on student triage, routine health needs, first aid, medication administration, documentation and keeping the health office organized and running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who can come in, settle into the school community, take ownership of the health office and make it their own.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assessing and triaging students who visit the health office
• Providing first aid and routine nursing care
• Administering medications as ordered
• Managing student health documentation and records
• Following individual student health plans
• Communicating with parents and school staff when appropriate
• Monitoring ongoing student health needs
• Helping organize and maintain the health office
• Establishing efficient day-to-day routines
• Being a reliable healthcare resource for students and school staff

Why This Position Is Different

This is not a high-acuity bedside nursing position.

It's a great opportunity for an RN who wants to step away from the traditional hospital or long-term care environment and enjoy a Monday–Friday daytime schedule in a smaller school setting.

You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with students and staff while having the independence to organize the health office and create a smooth, efficient routine.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong assessment and triage skills
• Excellent organization and communication
• Ability to work independently
• Pediatric, school nursing, primary care or community nursing experience is a plus, but the right RN with strong assessment skills and the right personality is encouraged to apply
• Dependable attendance and professional communication
• Ability to complete all required school and Excel Staffing credentialing
