Job Description
A health services organization in New York is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their skilled nursing facility in Upper Westchester County. This role offers the opportunity to deliver assessments, care planning, medication administration, and ongoing clinical support in a long-term care setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day or Night
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (with rotating weekends; Saturday and Sunday coverage available)
- Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm or 11pm to 7:30am
- Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility
Responsibilities:
- Conduct nursing assessments and record residents' health information and vital signs.
- Prepare, implement, and update nursing care plans and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor residents' symptoms, conditions, and responses to care, and report changes in health status.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care.
- Maintain charts, records, and documentation in compliance with agency, state, and federal requirements.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Clinical Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA BLS certification
- Experience with the Geriatric population in a Long-term Care setting
- Experience serving the Veteran population
