Learn About A Day in the Life of a Virtual Nurse:
Responsibilities:
The Virtual Care RN provides professional nursing care and clinical support for assigned patients through virtual and remote care platforms.
Accountable for performing patient assessments, care coordination, patient education, clinical documentation, and ongoing patient monitoring while utilizing multiple healthcare technology systems, including the electronic medical record (EMR).
Establishes collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to promote quality outcomes, patient safety, and continuity of care.
Adheres to organizational policies, professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and privacy guidelines to ensure safe, compliant, and patient-centered care in a virtual environment.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing, must be compact license
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in medical/surgical inpatient nursing
Preferred Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
