A New York City-based healthcare organization is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a role at a women's shelter. In this position, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide on-site nursing support, care coordination, and clinical services in a shelter-based setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Setting: In-person, shelter-based clinic
Responsibilities:Provide on-site nursing services under the direction of the Nurse Manager
Conduct client intakes and coordinate referrals to primary care, mental health, and psychiatry services
Support medication administration, medication reconciliation, refills, and safe medication storage
Perform nursing screenings, vital signs, ordered procedures, and clinical documentation
Coordinate care for high-risk clients and collaborate with medical, case management, and administrative staff
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Clinical experience in a Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse, Psychiatric, or Primary Care setting
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Experience performing phlebotomy, blood draws, or specimen collection
- Experience with electronic medical record documentation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Strong oral and listening skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate with clients and staff
