What You'll Do

As a Same Day Surgery RN, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for procedures, providing education and support to patients and families, coordinating care, and ensuring a safe and positive surgical experience from admission through discharge.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct patient care and nursing assessments

  • Educating patients and families regarding procedures and recovery

  • Coordinating care across departments and providers

  • Monitoring patient conditions and responding appropriately

  • Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

  • Supporting quality improvement initiatives

  • Serving as a mentor, preceptor, and collaborative team member when needed

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensure

  • Current Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) License

Preferred Certifications

  • ACLS

  • PALS

  • TNCC

  • NRP

  • CCRN, CMC, or PCCN certifications are a plus

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience preferred

  • Previous surgical services, ICU, PACU, or progressive care experience preferred

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities

  • Experience working within electronic medical record systems

  • Commitment to teamwork and exceptional patient care
