Tryfacta is seeking a Registered Nurse for our client SDCPH in San Diego, 92110. This role is an 3-month to long term contract assignment.

Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Duration: 13 weeks with possibility of extension

Job Duties

  • Provide psychiatric healthcare, evaluation, crisis intervention, and acute treatments to adult mentally ill patients
  • Ensures continuity of psychiatric care through provisions of services including discharge and referral
  • Triages healthcare situations to determine needed level of intervention in crisis situations
  • Verifies and carries out prescriber orders
  • Records changes in medications, laboratory tests and prescriber recommendations
  • Communicates current psychiatric medication orders, missed medications or other pertinent psychiatric information with clients, prescribers and nursing staff, clinicians, and family members as appropriate
  • Administers medications, including injections, and educates clients regarding medications (risks, benefits and side effects and medication compliance)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Valid California Registered Nurse License is required
  • At least 6 months to One (1) year of experience working with inpatient psychiatric patients. COVID vaccination card
  • A current certification in accordance with the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program is required at the time of appointment.
  • Physical Test Report
  • CPI Certification (if not, they will provide the training)
  • PPD/Chest-Xray/TB Results
  • Mandated Reporter Certificate before the start date (Candidate can get the free training from https://mandatedreporterca.com)
  • A minimum of two (2) employment references
  • Required to complete Orientation/Training before the onsite orientation for 10 days. (Offsite Training Module will be provided by Tryfacta)
