Shults Pediatrics (Northshore & Maryville), a division of Summit Medical Group, has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their practice. This is a Full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate must be both professional and friendly and enjoy working with the patients and their families.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (List does not include all duties assigned)
Prepares and updates patient records as required by physician(s)/practitioner(s) using electronic medical records (EHR) system.
Contacts patients regarding test results or other related reasons as directed.
Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares patients for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences including the recording of vital signs of patients (pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.)
Performing appropriate procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitor, etc. and assisting the physician(s) and/or providers with other procedures as appropriate.
Administering medications and conducting patient education as required.
Maintains stocked, neat and clean exam rooms and common work areas on a daily basis.
Handles phone nursing when appropriate, to include triaging, pre-certs, referrals, calling in prescriptions, etc.
Adheres to established company policies and procedures (including the corporate compliance program), and follows state and federal regulations, such as OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Adheres to site-specific protocols and expectations.
Education: High School Diploma, equivalent required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Prefer vocational or college credits.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical office setting required. *Required competency using EHR and Microsoft Outlook.
License/Certification: Current State of Tennessee Registered Nurse License Required.
