  • Hours/Week: 36-40 hours/week (potential rotations of 3/2 or 5/2)
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Licenses/Certifications: Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, stroke, ventilator management, CVL, neuro, cardiac, trauma experience preferred

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide high-level critical care to adult ICU patients with diverse diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, surgical, and medical conditions
  • Manage ventilators, assist with intubation and extubation
  • Conduct CVL management and placement, IV medication titration, vasoactive drip management
  • Support patient assessments, tube feedings, foley cath management, art line, and EVD drain care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including charge RN, CNA, RT, phlebotomy team, and hospitalist to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR for documentation and order management
  • Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, with appropriate ratios and support

What You Need:
  • Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
  • Minimum 2 years ICU experience with adult patients, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, or surgical ICU care
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Skills: Vent management, neuro and stroke care, invasive line management, patient assessment, EKG competency (included in compliance pass)
  • Ability to work flexible night shifts and every other weekend, with some holidays

About the Assignment:
Join a state-of-the-art ICU team in a welcoming and dynamic hospital environment. You will work in a 20-bed ICU with an average census of 16 patients daily, providing critical care across diverse patient populations. The unit offers supportive staffing including charge RNs, CNA, RT, and hospitalist coverage, ensuring a team-oriented approach to patient care.
