Weekend Requirement: 2 per month, although, most of the time its only every third weekend. The weekend is considered Fri and Sat for night shift.

Required Certifications: - MI State license - ACLS - BCLS
Required Experience: - 2 years of experience (screen if less than 2 years) - Telemetry experience - EPIC charting - Travel Experience -Someone that is competent with drips, telemetry, bi-pap, and high flow.

Additional info about the unit: - Special Care Nurses are part of the Rapid Response Team - Responsible for overseeing 10 telemetry monitors - Our special care unit (SCU) is more like a step-down unit pt. We do not keep vented pts (other than temporarily vented post-op nor do we keep pt on pressors, but we do initiate them). Some days there are no SCU pts so the nurse is expected to take general med/surg telemetry pts.
