Marycrest Manor is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team . In this role, you will supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. Duties and Responsibiltities - Greet visitors in friendly manner.
- Oversee, direct, and support the Charge Nurses. Assist Charge Nurses with assessment of changes-of-conditions. Will take Charge nurse Responsibilities as needed (Pass Medications, Charting, Supervise resident care)
- Objectively and timely complete performance evaluations.
- Participate in the development of an individualized interdisciplinary plan of care for each resident.
- Assures all documentations on admissions, discharges, transfer are completed.
- Follows infection control policies, during meds pass, treatments. Assures other nursing staff adheres to practices.
- Oversee, supervise, and coordinate the over-all care given to the residents, including restorative nursing.
- Oversee, supervise, and coordinate bowel and bladder program. Ensure appropriate and timely documentation.
- Maintain Nursing House Per Patient Day between 3.4-3.6.
- Oversee and coordinate resident activities.
- Notify Director of Nurses or Administrator of imminent death. Ensure that end-of-life care is rendered with dignity and respect.
- Keep Director of Nurses and Administrator informed of all unusual occurrences.
- Perform all other duties as requested by the Director of Nurses.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations established in the employee handbook.
- Organize, coordinate, and prioritize workload.
- Complete documentation timely, thoroughly and within 5 minutes of shift end. Check Licensed nurses’ documentation is completed before end of shift.
- Coordinate compliance with State and Federal regulations about long-term care.
- Must have successfully completed Marycrest Manor orientation program.
- Must consistently participate in on-going training and inservice programs.
- Must communicate effectively with the medical staff, nursing personnel, and other department directors.
- Coordinate and maintain liaison with residents, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for the residents’ needs.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Adheres to professional dress code that reflects the mission of Marycrest Manor with excellent grooming and appearance.
