Duration: 15 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 6:30 AM – 2:45 PM
Hours: 5x8-Hour Shifts
Compensation:
- Local Pay: $1900 - $2330 Weekly – based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) for a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The RN Supervisor will oversee nursing staff operations, support patient care delivery, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff and provide leadership during assigned shifts
- Administer medications and assist with med-cart responsibilities as needed
- Monitor patient care activities to ensure quality and compliance with nursing standards
- Support staff development and encourage adherence to best practices in patient care
- Conduct patient assessments, admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and family members
- Maintain knowledge of current nursing practices, long-term care standards, and healthcare trends
- Assist with staff guidance, workflow coordination, and problem resolution
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and nursing activities
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York required
- Minimum 1 year of RN Supervisor experience required
- Candidates with recent experience in rehab, med-surg, hospital, or related clinical settings will also be considered
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care environment
Required Certifications:
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required
