Edenbrook Edina is looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse Supervisor (PM Shift)that is instrumental in implementing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department to maintain standards of residents’ care. We seek an individual who is prepared to confront challenges head-on and ascend to a leadership capacity with determination and initiative.
Position: Registered Nurse Supervisor (PM Shift)
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate staffing for the assigned shift.
- Assist with resident admissions as needed.
- Deliver completed staff reviews, provide training, and implement disciplinary actions as required.
- Review overdue assignments and ensure completion by staff or complete them as necessary.
- Receive and provide detailed handoff communication with the two daytime ADONs and the DON to ensure smooth transition of care and operations.
- This position develops and implements nursing services, objectives, and policies, and procedures by Federal and State regulations as well as local standards and guidelines.
- Conducts nursing rounds on all units several times per day, including the beginning and end of shift.
- Ensures that residents are free from abuse, mistreatment, and neglect.
- Participates as a member of the facility’s interdisciplinary management team in planning, policy formation and administrative decision-making, with particular emphasis on the facility’s nursing services.
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota RN license (required)
- Skilled Nursing Facility experience – 1 year required
- Charge Nurse or Unit Manager experience – preferred but not required
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid regulations preferred
- Familiarity with state survey processes a plus
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and healthcare documentation systems
