Registered Nurse – Surgery

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery to join a surgical services team in Beckley, West Virginia. This opportunity is designed for an RN with established surgical nursing experience who can provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout the surgical process.

The Surgery RN will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and other members of the perioperative team to support high-quality patient outcomes. This position is well suited for a dependable nurse who is comfortable working in a procedural environment where communication, clinical judgment, and attention to detail are essential.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Surgery nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to function effectively within a surgical care environment
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and perioperative teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) certification
• Additional experience within Surgery or perioperative nursing
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience working in a hospital or acute-care surgical environment

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Surgery RN with at least one year of dedicated surgical nursing experience who is comfortable working within a fast-paced procedural environment. They should bring strong clinical judgment, attention to patient safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the surgical team.

Candidates who already possess BLS, ACLS, PALS, and particularly ASLS certification will be especially well positioned, although the required certifications may be obtained within the specified post-hire timeframes.

Compensation

$62,000 – $81,000 annually

Compensation within the listed range will be determined based on the candidate's surgical nursing experience, additional clinical expertise, certifications, qualifications, and overall alignment with the position.
