Description

Overview:

Under the direction of the Unit Director, the RN is responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care while promoting positive patient outcomes and an outstanding patient experience. 
The ideal candidate is a strong clinical professional who thrives in a team environment, demonstrates critical thinking, and is committed to continuous learning and excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned patients.
Deliver safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to evidence-based practices and organizational standards.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and effectively.
Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team.
Promote patient safety by following infection prevention, restraint, and quality care protocols.
Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to support positive patient outcomes.
Supervise and appropriately delegate patient care activities to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Nurse Techs, and Unit Secretaries.
Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, mandatory education, and competency training.
Serve as a mentor or preceptor for new team members and nursing students, as appropriate.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required 
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

 

Licensure & Certifications
Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

 

Qualifications
