Position Title:Registered Nurse
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: Up to 2 year
Work Schedule: Monday- Sundays(Days/Evening/Night)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents in a clinical or community-based setting. The RN will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, administering treatments, and supervising nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed
  • Perform tube feedings and manage IV therapy
  • Collect blood samples (if certified in venipuncture)
  • Provide specialized care, including colostomy care
  • Monitor patients/residents and report any changes in condition
  • Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
  • Obtain specimens for laboratory analysis and perform physician-ordered procedures
  • Prepare and apply dressings and assist with wound care
  • Assist patients/residents with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, and mobility
  • Maintain patient/resident living areas, including making beds and changing linens
  • Ensure proper care of patients' personal belongings

Clinical & Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to Graduate Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and direct care staff
  • Delegate nursing tasks and monitor completion of assigned duties
  • Conduct clinical rounds to assess patient needs and evaluate care delivery
  • Act as a liaison with external healthcare providers and agencies to ensure continuity of care
  • Advocate for patient/resident needs and coordinate follow-up care
  • Assist with discharge planning and provide instructions to care providers

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Support Registered Nurse Supervisors with updates and clinical information
  • Prepare and contribute to reports and performance evaluations for nursing and support staff
  • Perform supervisory duties as required

Work Environment:

  • Services may be provided in a facility-based or community-based setting

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Strong clinical, observational, and assessment skills
  • Ability to supervise and delegate effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
