Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med surg Tele
Job location: Dayton, OH
Contract length:13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30), 48 hrs guaranteed, *36 OR 48 HOURS ACCEPTED*, For 48-hour contract, OT is paid out after 48 hours

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Years of Experience: 1.5 year(s)

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

  • 1.5 years exp and some level 1 or 2 preferred.

Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Starting and maintaining IVs

Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Observation unit with 40 beds, expected LOS is less than 24 hours. Med surg and advanced care competencies included in nursing role. Patient populations include: Chest Pain rule outs, Syncope, Vertigo, Abdominal Pain, CHF, COPD, cellulitis/IV antibiotics, stroke rule outs/TIAs. Heavy cardiac population.

Description:
This unit takes advanced care level patients and needs to have experience with advanced care level drips and need to have worked some advanced care/step down before. Mixed acuity unit.

No holiday RTO being accepted. No travel partners.
No more than 7 days of RTO will be approved.

No local candidates.

Floating Requirements:

  • Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units.
  • Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty cluster and will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to.
  • Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
  • Travelers are not eligible for Premier Health Employee incentives.
  • Medical exemptions will not be accepted for a contract.
