Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry
Location: Lubbock, TX
Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay: $50/hr – $58/hr
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours/Week
We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation skills, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions.
• Provide direct patient care to telemetry and cardiac monitoring patients.
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry and cardiac rhythm changes.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and nursing best practices.
• Float to other appropriate units as needed based on patient care requirements.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Recent Telemetry nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills.
• Experience caring for patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Excellent critical-thinking and clinical assessment abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to float as needed.
• Current ACLS Certification.
• Telemetry-related certifications.
• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Experience in Level II Trauma Centers or large acute care hospitals.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac medications and telemetry protocols.
• Experience managing complex cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
