Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience to join our Telemetry unit. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a brand new Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit within a growing facility offering numerous educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing patients with conditions such as Sepsis, Cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-operative cases including Total Joints and GI/Abdominal surgeries.
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing wound care, JP drains, wound vacs, Hemodialysis Catheter care, Fistulas, PCA, and pain management. The RN will also be required to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival.
Schedule & Hours:
- 4-day workweek with mandatory weekend rotation every other week
- Work 4 days one week and 3 days the next
- Schedule includes working 2/3 holidays
- No on-call required
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of RN experience in acute care
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
- Support units include charge nurse, HUC/secretary, phlebotomy, RT, hospitalist, OT/PT/ST
Support & Equipment:
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Medication dispensing: Pyxis
- In-house phlebotomy and RT services
- Orientation: 2-4 days hospital orientation + 2 days on unit
Other Notes:
- Scrub color is Pewter; T-shirts must be gray, white, or black with WK monogram
- Jackets in gray or black
- Badges must be worn above the waist at all times
