Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience; first-time travelers require 2 years of perm staff RN experience in acute care, separated for at least 1 year
Payroll: $46.90/hour

What You'll Do:
Provide high-quality nursing care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-op surgeries (including joints and GI surgeries)
Monitor and respond to patient needs in a busy telemetry environment with RN-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 (nights 1:6)
Manage wound care, JP drains, wound vacs, and hemodialysis catheters, among other patient support activities
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, RT, PT, OT, and SLP
Chart patient information accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system
Float within various Medical Surgical units as needed, with support from charge nurses or float team
Pass an EKG competency exam prior to onboarding
Support unit functions, including phlebotomy and medication dispensing using Pyxis systems
What You Need:
Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible to practice in the state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of comparable experience in acute care RN roles
Ability to pass EKG competency examination
Excellent wound management, catheter care, and pain management skills
Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
