Industry: Hospitals and Health Care Join a Trauma ICU team caring for critically ill and injured patients in a Level I Trauma Center environment. This role is suited to an experienced critical care nurse who brings sound clinical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to individualized patient care. You will provide specialized nursing care, support life-sustaining therapies, and work closely with physicians and other members of the care team in a fast-paced acute care setting. Recent Trauma ICU experience is required. The position is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Position Overview Fusion HCR is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to acutely and critically ill patients in a Trauma Intensive Care Unit. In this high-acuity role, you will monitor patient conditions, administer medications and therapies, and deliver individualized care in accordance with established protocols and your scope of practice. You will help develop and implement patient-centered care plans, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold patient safety standards. Success in this position requires strong critical thinking and the ability to remain composed while responding to complex patient needs. You will collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary colleagues to support coordinated care for critically injured patients. The role is a fit for a nurse with recent ICU experience and trauma-focused clinical expertise who is committed to compassionate, high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, individualized nursing care to critically ill and trauma patients in a high-acuity Trauma ICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in clinical status.
- Administer medications and therapies in accordance with established protocols.
- Perform invasive nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
- Develop and implement patient-centered care plans based on patient needs and assessments.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold patient safety standards.
- Safely transfer and reposition patients, following appropriate practices.
- Maintain focus and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Nevada Registered Nurse license, or ability to obtain one.
- At least two years of recent ICU RN experience within the past three years in a similar acute care facility.
- Recent Trauma ICU experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required upon hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certifications required within 12 months of hire.
- Level I Trauma Center experience strongly preferred; CCRN and/or TNCC certification highly preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and safely transfer and reposition patients.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, and adaptability in a high-acuity setting.
