    Registered Nurse Trauma Operating Room | HCA Florida Kendall Hospital Miami, FL
    Full-Time | Nights (Rotating Weekends) | Salary: $39.57 to $53.34/hr (based on experience)
    Sign-On Bonus: Case by case | Fee: 20% of annual salary

    Overview

    HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is a 417-bed acute care facility in west Miami-Dade County, recognized nationally for overall clinical excellence. The hospital is a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, a verified Level I Adult Trauma Center by the ACS, and one of five American Burn Association verified Burn Centers in Florida. The facility offers a full spectrum of services, including trauma, surgical, women's and children's services, behavioral health, and diagnostics.

    We are seeking an experienced Trauma OR Registered Nurse to join our high-performing team. This role requires acute care trauma OR experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, critical care surgical environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assume responsibility and accountability for trauma patients in the operating room

    • Deliver high-quality care using the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with the healthcare team

    • Maintain adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices

    • Respond to trauma and emergent cases with efficiency and accuracy

    • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during surgical interventions

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Florida RN license or recognized compact licensure (must comply with Florida requirements)

    • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtain within 30 days of employment)

    • Minimum 2 years trauma operating room acute care experience

    • Must live within 30 minutes of the facility due to on-call requirements

    Preferred:

    • Previous experience in a high-acuity trauma OR environment

    • Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Hourly Rate: $39.57-$53.34/hr (based on experience, 17+ years max)
