    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Trauma Resource RN will work in Critical Care areas. Will be responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. The RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

    In this role you will:

    • Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs.
    • Carries out physician orders.
    • Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
    • Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
    • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
    • Instructs and educates patients and families.
    • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
    • Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
    • Orients and mentors new staff members.
    • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required

     

     

    Job Requirements:

    • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
    • Critical Care - High Acuity, background in ED, ICU, Critical Care/Trauma Highly preferred
    • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN Preferred
    • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor, Fetal Monitoring Course, must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
    • STABLE highly desirable
    • TNCC required within 6 months at Main ER

    HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital. We serve the communities of Seminole and West Volusia County.
