• Pay Rate: $70.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 6:30 AM 7:00 PM (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)

Job Summary

This is a contract ICU Registered Nurse position based in Utica, NY. The unit is a 42-bed ICU comprising East (20 beds), West (22 beds), Neuro/Med (22 beds), CTICU (6 beds), and Surg/Trauma (14 beds). Floating is required to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding). Travel experience is required, and local candidates (within 75 miles) are also welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the ICU setting, including to patients with common diagnoses such as Neuro/Med: Strokes, Sepsis, AMS, Neuro Intervention (TCAR), Respiratory Failure, CHF, and Post-STEMI
• Care for CTICU patients including CV Surgery, Cardiogenic Shock, and AAA
• Care for Surg/Trauma patients including Trauma and Major post-op surgery
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Arctic Sun)
• Float to all units as needed, except Behavioral and ER (unless holding)
• Wear Navy scrubs per unit requirement

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Heart experience highly preferred Manager is prioritizing candidates with this background

Education Requirements

• Active NY RN License required (verified via NURSYS Report)
• All active RN licenses must be in good standing
• Current AHA ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of documented ICU experience (ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU)
• Documented travel nursing experience required
