UPMC Altoona is excited to offer a weekend program incentive! We are seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Resource Pool on weekend shifts. This position will primarily work in the Observation unit, and will float to med/surg/telemetry units as needed.

Why should you consider a Weekend Program position?
Eligible participants in the weekend program must work 48 weekends per year, 24 hours per weekend (either two 12 or three 8 hour shifts per weekend between the hours of Friday 3pm and Monday 7am.
Weekend Program positions are considered full-time, but only require you to work 24 hours per weekend.

Compensation: We offer competitive starting pay, with rates that reflect your nursing education and professional experience. UPMC Altoona RNs benefit from newly enhanced pay, with starting rates increasing by $4/hour, plus an additional $2 shift differential.
Minimum starting pay rates:
$35.50 (BSN
$34.00 (non-BSN
Your title and salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience.
Plus a generous pay differential of 30% for the Weekend Program!
Generous Sign-On Bonus of up to $15,000
$15,000 sign-on bonus available for nurses with 1 or more years of experience.
Candidates hired into a sign-on bonus eligible role will be asked to make a two-year work commitment.
As a member of this team, you will provide direct and indirect care to patients utilizing the nursing process. You will also provide leadership for the nursing team and contribute to the education of a variety of members of the staff and students.
